Continental Hotel at the heart of Reims tourist activities
Our historic hotel in the heart of Reims is located close to many tourist activities for a business trip or tourist couple or family. Among the must-see visits in the direct vicinity:
The cathedral of Reims
Major achievements of Gothic art in France, both for its architecture and for its statuary with 2,303 statues, the Reims Cathedral has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991. The building has seen the coronation of almost all French kings.
Reims Town Hall
Partly built between 1627 and 1636 and completed in the nineteenth century, the town hall has decorative elements in the Renaissance style including antique orders and niches.
The twisted columns and the scrolled pediment reflect the Baroque spirit of the time. The sloping roofs and high chimneys are typical of the seventeenth century. The campanile is inspired by northern belfries.
An equestrian statue of Louis XIII is found in the central pavilion. The coast of arms of Reims appears on the balcony.

Champagne houses
Barely have we put down our suitcases before we notice that in Reims, Champagne is everywhere. It fizzes on dates, on outings with friends and on lively evenings. It is much more than the drink of great occasions. It’s a whole world, mixing the luxury of the greatest Champagne houses, the majesty of their cellars, the splendour of the Champagne vineyards and the authenticity of an encounter with the winegrowers.
